C.M.Annamalai Polytechnic College (CMAPC) was started on 01.06.2009 by the Annamalai Educational and Charitable Trust during the academic year 2008-09. It is recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education Chennai -25. and the G.O.(M.S)No.113 dt 20.05.2009. This College is located at Vellathur 3 k.m. away from Sholinghur town on Sholinghur-Tiruttani highways.

C.M.Annamalai Polytechnic College, Vellathur, is offering three year Diploma programs approved by the ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AICTE) in various disciplines of Engineering at Post secondary and post higher secondary levels to candidates following the state prescribed norms and guide lines, curriculum and evaluation system by the Directorate of Technical Education to meet the needs of industry.
The Polytechnic College is financially self supported through the fees collected from the students for the diploma programs with a deep care and concern for the well sustained and steady growth and development of Technical Education in the Region.
C.M.Annamalai Polytechnic College is a well-established institute approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and Affiliated to Govt. of Tamil Nadu in Chennai with an annual intake of 300 students. The trust was pioneered by Thiru.A..Asokan in 2008 With the sole objective of imparting innovative and professional among rural and semi-urban people, the institution produces bright and brilliant students through various diploma courses offered by the college. Spread over a vast area of 20 acres, the campus comes equipped with an active placement cell, diverse learning environment, profound faculties, and state-of-the-art facilities.
